Strömakademin, a part of a Stockholm based Energy company’s effort to inform and educate it’s customer base about the production and distrubution of electricity in Sweden. My illustrations help to elevate and clarify the texts.
The Swedish energy grid, simplified. Hydroelectric, solar, and wind power are produced and distributed through the grid in stages, from the national down to the local level.
Most electricity production consists of making a generator coil spin.
The main source of energy in Sweden is Hydroelectric.
Wind power works mostly as a complement but has an important part to play.
Solar power is a growing source, both on a national and on a local level.
The burning of fossil fuels such as oil, coal and peat also plays a large part, and so does nuclear power.
