I have a strong preference to draw things that in some way make sense to me, to know how they are built, how they move and what would make them break. Like authors that get in to the heads of their characters, I take my characters and objects and break them apart to know them. It is sometimes difficult and time consuming work, but in the end I know them inside and out.

Designing a foldable pilot’s chair.

A self-propelled tool cabinet inspired by the Studley tool chest.

The design process of a futuristic but poorly maintained power generation complex.

Further steps in the process, to the right the finished design.

A few different samples of environments such as a mysterious pool, a castle detail and tree roots laid bare by the wind.

A partially exploded view of a crab tank, manned or no, and a flying…bike?

Taking the foldable pilot’s chair from up top and creating a den of a pilot or hacker. Stop staring at the naked woman.

I love drawing cutouts, even though they take a lot of time and work.

Another one of my favorite things to draw, exploded views. What’s not to like?
